Lambretta is a product for the Lambretta clutch assembly. The clutch engages and disengages engine drive as you operate the bike. The metal parts pictured are components of this assembly.
Where do the alloy-steel components work?
The CNC-machined section uses 40Cro-Mo alloy steel. Within the clutch, metal components must maintain the shape of their mounting surfaces under engine load. Alloy steel suits this requirement, while clutch engagement or slip also depends on the friction plates, springs, oil and installation. If the clutch slips, inspect the entire assembly before deciding to replace a single component.
Selecting the correct assembly for Lambretta
Lambretta has several model years and engine types. Compare the existing clutch's diameter, plate count, overall height, spline profile and shaft retaining components. If the clutch drum or friction plates have been changed, use the assembly currently fitted to select compatible parts. The product image shows several components.
