About MREV / Est. 2014

Start with the bike.
Find the solution.

MREV develops drivetrain components and custom solutions based on the bike, its current setup and the rider’s goals. Understanding the application comes before choosing a product.

The beginning of MREV Racing

The MREV story

An engineering perspective, grounded in riding experience.

MREV grew out of an interest in how a drivetrain component works within a real setup. Any change to the front sprocket, rear sprocket or mounting arrangement needs to be considered in the context of the bike, its intended use and existing constraints.

MREV therefore starts by defining the problem: which bike, what is currently fitted and what needs to change. Once the application is clear, there is a sound basis for discussing an existing product or developing a custom component.

What guides our work

A good component must be right for the job.

MREV uses three questions to explain technical choices so users can understand and assess them.

01 / APPLICATION

What does the bike need?

Identify the model, model year, current setup and goals before recommending an option.

02 / FITMENT

How does the component fit?

Check the relevant dimensions and installation conditions; compatibility cannot be assumed from the model name alone.

03 / PROOF

What can be verified?

State the specifications, measurement methods and scope of available data when discussing materials, weight or quality inspection.

From requirements to components

How MREV approaches a request.

Depending on the case, the answer may be a suitable catalogue product or a custom approach that needs further assessment.

01 — UNDERSTAND

Understand the requirements

The bike, model year, current setup, desired changes and constraints to work within.

02 — REVIEW

Check the data

Fitment, relevant dimensions and any missing data that needs to be verified on the bike.

03 — PROPOSE

Choose an approach

Compare existing options with the need for a custom design and explain the trade-offs.

04 — VERIFY

Verify the outcome

Check the specifications and relevant QC items before delivery.

Engineering & proof

Explainable. Measurable. Verifiable.

For a mechanical component, useful information is data tied to the specific product and application. These topics show the questions MREV aims to clarify when advising customers and developing products.

Explore Custom Engineering

Fitment & mounting dimensions

The model, model year, chain system and mounting configuration are the starting point. Where needed, specifications such as ID, PCD or offset must be checked against the actual component.

Materials & construction

Material information should relate to the specific product and its construction. A material family name alone cannot establish the properties of every version.

Weight & quality control

Published weight or QC values need to be tied to the specific product and measurement method. MREV can explain which checks need to be confirmed for each request.

Start with your bike

Tell MREV what you want to change.

Choose components for your bike or send details of a request outside the catalogue. This gives MREV a starting point for the discussion.
