Rear Sprocket for Yamaha PG-1
MREV-P-000093Rear sprocket for PG-1: CNC-machined Ultralumin 7000 aluminum for riders considering rear sprocket weight. Select the correct sprocket carrier and chain size. The anodized finish adds color and helps protect the surface.
The rear sprocket for PG-1 transfers drive from the chain to the wheel. For PG-1 with changed wheels or a different hub, select the sprocket against the current wheel assembly and chain.
What does an Ultralumin 7000 aluminum sprocket offer?
The sprocket is machined from Ultralumin 7000 aluminum and anodized. Aluminum weighs less than steel at the same volume, making it an option for riders seeking a lightweight rear sprocket material. Anodizing adds color and helps protect the aluminum surface. The teeth still require the correct chain size and wear inspection during maintenance. The complete sprocket's weight also depends on thickness, tooth count and center cutouts.
Selecting tooth count and chain size
The final drive ratio is calculated by dividing the rear sprocket tooth count by the front sprocket tooth count. Retain the existing rear tooth count when replacing worn parts, or select a different count if you want to change the final drive ratio and have checked the chain length. This sprocket range offers versions from 36 to 46 teeth. Chain-size options are 415, 420 and 428. Select the size that matches your current chain and sprocket set.
Checking the rear wheel assembly
If several chain-size options are available, check the chain markings and the current sprocket pair on PG-1 to select the correct version. If the rear wheel has been changed, use dimensions from the carrier currently fitted rather than an image of a sprocket on a bike with stock wheels. Check that the chain runs centrally on the tooth ring.
Recorded gearing options
Only recorded pitch, position and tooth options are shown. Final-drive changes must be evaluated against the complete front/rear setup; tooth count alone is not treated as a performance claim.
