Rear Sprocket for BMW F 800 GS
MREV-P-000022Rear sprocket for BMW F800GS: CNC-machined Ultralumin 7000 aluminum for riders considering rear sprocket weight. Select the correct sprocket carrier and chain size. The anodized finish adds color and helps protect the surface.
The rear sprocket for BMW F800GS transfers drive from the chain to the wheel. If the wheels or sprocket carrier on F800GS have been changed, measure the sprocket mounting position again.
What does an Ultralumin 7000 aluminum sprocket offer?
The sprocket body is CNC-machined from Ultralumin 7000 aluminum alloy. Aluminum allows the center section to be shaped and has a lower mass than steel for the same material volume. The anodized surface adds color and helps resist corrosion. When selecting a new sprocket, check the tooth count and sprocket carrier. To compare it with a steel sprocket, use two sprockets of the same dimensions to establish the actual weight difference.
Selecting tooth count and chain size
If you are replacing a worn sprocket and are happy with how the bike rides, retain the existing rear tooth count. With the front sprocket unchanged, adding rear teeth increases the final drive ratio. The chain may need adjustment or a different length. Available tooth-count options are 41, 42 and 43.
Checking the rear wheel assembly
Retaining the existing rear tooth count is a sensible starting point if the rider is happy with the current gearing. Reference the old and new sprockets from the same mounting face to compare bolt holes and offset. A bike with a modified hub may not accept the sprocket normally listed for its model.

Recorded gearing options
Only recorded pitch, position and tooth options are shown. Final-drive changes must be evaluated against the complete front/rear setup; tooth count alone is not treated as a performance claim.
