What does an aluminum carrier offer?
The carrier is CNC-machined from Ultralumin 6000 aluminum. Aluminum helps limit the weight of the rear-wheel mounting assembly. The carrier positions the sprocket mounting face and helps align the chain with the front sprocket. The carrier itself has no teeth, so it does not change the final drive ratio. Machining produces the shape specified by the design, while fitment depends on the dimensions of the exact bike.
Selecting for a four-speed Exciter 135
For bikes from 2005–2010, measure the height from the hub engagement face to the sprocket mounting face, the hub seating arrangement and the bolt circle. If the wheels or hub have been changed, compare the carrier currently fitted directly with the product. When replacing the carrier, inspect the sprocket and associated wheel hardware, including bushings, fasteners and retaining parts.
