Ducati 6-Hole Sprocket Cover is an aluminum accessory for the rear sprocket assembly on Ducati with a large-shaft, six-hole arrangement. When replacing an old cover or finishing the wheel assembly's appearance, select the correct bolt circle rather than checking hole count alone.
Cover material and function
The cover is CNC-machined from Ultralumin 6000 aluminum. Aluminum allows a compact, lightweight part with an attractive finish in a visible area of the wheel. The cover is part of the mounting assembly and has no chain-driving teeth. If the rear sprocket teeth are worn, replace the correct sprocket rather than buying a cover.
Checking the six-hole arrangement before installation
Measure the six-hole bolt circle diameter, center bore, seating face and clearance between the cover and sprocket. For Ducati with changed wheels or a different carrier, the current wheel assembly dimensions matter more than external appearance. Compare the fastener type and components supplied with the cover to ensure a complete installation. After trial fitting, the cover must sit flat without rubbing the tooth ring or obstructing wheel-assembly service points.
