Rear Sprocket for Aprilia RSV4 (Shuriken)
MREV-P-000012Rear sprocket for Aprilia RSV4 (Shuriken): CNC-machined Ultralumin 7000 aluminum for riders considering rear sprocket weight. Select the correct sprocket carrier and chain size. The anodized finish adds color and helps protect the surface.
The rear sprocket for Aprilia RSV4 (Shuriken) transfers drive from the chain to the wheel. Shuriken is a distinct rear sprocket design for RSV4.
What does an Ultralumin 7000 aluminum sprocket offer?
The sprocket body is CNC-machined from Ultralumin 7000 aluminum alloy. Aluminum allows the center section to be shaped and has a lower mass than steel for the same material volume. The anodized surface adds color and helps resist corrosion. When selecting a new sprocket, check the tooth count and sprocket carrier. To compare it with a steel sprocket, use two sprockets of the same dimensions to establish the actual weight difference.
Selecting tooth count and chain size
If you are replacing a worn sprocket and are happy with how the bike rides, retain the existing rear tooth count. With the front sprocket unchanged, adding rear teeth increases the final drive ratio. The chain may need adjustment or a different length. Available tooth-count options are 40, 41 and 42.
Checking the rear wheel assembly
Check the bolt circle, center bore and chain size before selecting the Shuriken design. If comparing it with Dart, examine the center-section shapes of both products. Compare the mounting-section thickness and back face of the old sprocket. These dimensions affect the tooth position relative to the bike's front sprocket.

Recorded gearing options
Only recorded pitch, position and tooth options are shown. Final-drive changes must be evaluated against the complete front/rear setup; tooth count alone is not treated as a performance claim.
