Overview

The aluminum-center, steel-tooth rear sprocket for Exciter 150 combines an aluminum center with a steel tooth ring. When replacing the rear sprocket on Exciter 150, check the chain size and carrier type before considering an aluminum-center, steel-tooth design.

How do the aluminum center and steel teeth work together?

The two sections serve different areas: the Ultralumin 7000 aluminum-alloy center mounts to the sprocket carrier, while the CrMn 5045 steel ring engages the chain. This construction provides steel teeth with an aluminum center. When replacing a rear sprocket, material selection is useful only if the carrier bolt pattern and chain size also match the bike's current setup.

Selecting tooth count and chain size

The final drive ratio is calculated by dividing the rear sprocket tooth count by the front sprocket tooth count. Retain the existing rear tooth count when replacing worn parts, or select a different count if you want to change the final drive ratio and have checked the chain length. This sprocket range offers versions from 37 to 46 teeth. Chain-size options are 415, 420 and 428. Select the size that matches your current chain and sprocket set.

Checking the rear wheel assembly

To select the correct sprocket for Exciter 150, compare the carrier mounting face, center bore and current chain size. Parts for Exciter 135 use their own mounting arrangement. Before choosing a color or cutout pattern, compare the rear carrier bolt circle. The teeth must match the chain size and align with the front sprocket.

Only recorded pitch, position and tooth options are shown. Final-drive changes must be evaluated against the complete front/rear setup; tooth count alone is not treated as a performance claim.
